Arriving at Frankfurt Airport

Frankfurt International Airport is located 25 km from Darmstadt. The AirLiner shuttle bus from terminal 1 und 2 will take you to Darmstadt in approx. 30 minutes.

For the City Centre Campus exit at the bus stop “Darmstadt Convention Center”. The Institute for Applied Physics is within a few minutes walking distance.

For Lichtwiese Campus exit at bus stop “Luisenplatz” and take tram 2 to “TU Lichtwiese”

Arriving by train – Downtown Campus

Take one of the following buses or trams from Darmstadt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof):
  • Tram line 2 towards “TU Lichtwiese”, exit at “Schloß”
  • Tram line 3 towards “Lichtenbergschule”, exit at “Schloß”
  • Tram line 5 towards “Kranichstein”, exit at “Luisenplatz”
  • Bus K towards “Alfred-Messel-Weg”, exit at “Schloß”
  • Bus H towards “Kranichstein-Kesselhutweg” exit at “Schloß”

Arriving by train – Downtown Campus

Take the following tram from Darmstadt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof):
  • Tram line 2 towards “TU Lichtwiese”, bus stop “TU Lichtwiese”
