Welcome to the Theoretical Quantum Physics Group

in the Institute of Applied Physics

The Theoretical Quantum Physics group in Darmstadt focusses on theoretical aspects of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information Theory. In particular

  • Quantum cryptography in discrete- and continuous-variable systems
  • Decoherence in physical systems, quantum error correction, and decoupling strategies (in collaboration with Igor Jex, CVUT Prague)
  • Bell inequalities and their violations (in collaboration with Ian Percival)
Further topics of research include ultracold quantum gases and wave packet dynamics.
For more information see the research section on this page.
