Research Assistant in Experimental Quantum Optics at TU Darmstadt

Our research team at the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany), dealing with Experimental Nonlinear Optics and Quantum Optics, offers a position for a research assistant. The position is connected to an attractive salary. Due to the funding source, the contract duration is limited till December, 31st, 2021. Depending on the scientific performance of the candidate, further prolongation of the contract towards a position as doctoral student may be possible.

The research project will be dealing with coherent light-matter interactions in laser-cooled atoms confined within a hollow-core fiber. The goal is to achieve efficient nonlinear optical interactions at the few-photon level, e.g., for future applications in quantum technologies. Our team at the Institute of Applied Physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt offers a research environment of international reputation and modern, well-equipped state-of-the-art laser laboratories, embedded in strong national and international collaborations.
